Limetec natural hydraulic lime mortars are available in 20 T bulk silos, 1 T bulk bags and 25kg bags. All mortars are dry premix mortars - just add water.

The advantages of Natural Hydraulic Lime mortars over cement based mortars are:

     • Provides a breathable form of construction
     • Reduces need for expansion joints
     • Mortar weaker than brick
     • Re-absorbs CO² when it cures
     • Aesthetically enhances masonry
     • Allows masonry to be re-cycled at end of life
     • Consistent quality control and mix proportions


For large projects and building developments, mortar can be supplied in 20 T silos of dry mix with refill deliveries of 20 T at a time. The silo is fitted with a control panel and 'high shear' mixer that regulates water input and mix flow producing constant mortar at the touch of a button - more details available on request.

There are two standard mortars which cover a range of likely applications both
for conservation and new build.

Limetec eminently hydraulic lime mortar NHL 5 for use where a higher level of durability is required
i.e. masonry exposed to severe weather.

Limetec moderately hydraulic lime mortar NHL 3.5 for most normal applications i.e. cavity brickwork, blockwork and stonework.
